SoccerMadison introduces online registration

Madison, SD – Registration for SoccerMadison’s fall season is now open, with the process being done online for the first time in the youth soccer association’s history. Parents can register today at www.SoccerMadison.org/register.

“The paper registration forms were a pain both for parents to fill out and mail, and for us to key into the database,” said SoccerMadison’s founder and president Jeff Boldt. “Moving the process online makes things easier for everyone.”

Despite an increased cost to do registration online, the non-profit association has been able to keep the fee at $40 thanks to support of its sponsors.

Registration for the fall season is open through August 15, but with a $10 late fee after August 1. Paper-based registration is still available for those without Internet access. Parents can call 605-270-2124 to request a paper form.

Players must be four years old or older on July 31 to play in the fall season. SoccerMadison currently offers co-ed play for the Under-6 (ages four and five) and Under-8 age groups, and a mix of co-ed, same sex teams, and “friendlies” against out-of-town opponents for the Under-10 and older age groups depending on the number of players that register.

Teams will play eight games (usually on Saturdays) during the fall season, which is expected to run from September 6 to October 18. Rosters will be announced at a coach’s meetings in mid-August with practices beginning shortly thereafter.
