SoccerMadison teams make Champions League debut

Three SoccerMadison teams played their first South Dakota State Soccer Association Champions League games on Sunday in Sioux Falls. The Champions League features teams from across the state competing in Under-10 (U10) through U14 age groups.

SoccerMadison’s U12 boys defeated Dakota Alliance Soccer Club (DASC) Crew 5-2 in their opener, with Brian Frias scoring three goals and Oscar Anariba two. They fell 12-1 to DASC Nitro in game two, with Frias netting the lone goal.

The U10 boys lost 6-2 in their opener versus DASC Dobson #2 before rallying for a 3-2 win against Mitchell in their second game. Spencer Reverts scored twice and Cale Johnson once to secure the win.

The U10/12 girls lost both their games, 7-1 to DASC United and 5-4 to Oahe Bling. Katie Sewell tallied three goals on the day and Greenlee Moore two.

SoccerMadison’s U12 boys will be back in action this Sunday at Tomar Park in Sioux Falls with games at noon and 4:00 p.m. All three teams will be in action in Mitchell on October 18 to wrap up the Champions League season.
